Product Safety & Compliance
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Andrew Rose manufactures professional car-care chemicals in Taiwan. The range includes acidic, alkaline and solvent-based products. This page sets out how they should be handled, stored and shipped, and what a buyer is responsible for when placing them on their own market.
Safety data sheets
Safety data sheets are available on request for any product in the range. Request them at the quotation stage, before the first shipment, and make sure they reach everyone who handles the product — your warehouse, your resellers and the end user.
Tell us the destination market when you request them, so we can provide the information in the form your market expects.
Handling
- Use each product only for its intended purpose and according to its label and technical information.
- Professional products may require training and personal protective equipment. Acidic and alkaline cleaners and solvent products in particular should not be handled by untrained staff.
- Ventilate when using solvent-based products. Several carry a noticeable odour by design — the tar remover contains a kerosene-type solvent and the iron remover an acidic chelating agent.
- Observe stated contact times. Some products carry a defined rinse window; the acidic wheel cleaner must be rinsed within 5 minutes and applied only to cool wheels and rotors.
- Never mix products, and keep acidic and alkaline products physically separated in storage and in use.
- Test on an inconspicuous area before full application. Surface compatibility varies by finish, age and previous treatment.
Storage
- Store in the original sealed container, upright, out of direct sunlight, away from heat sources and out of reach of children.
- Keep away from food, feed and incompatible materials.
- Shelf life is 1 year or more from manufacture for most chemical products unless the label states otherwise. Rotate stock.
Decanting and repackaging
Much of the range is supplied as concentrate, and bulk presentations are intended to be decanted. If you decant, dilute, repackage or relabel, you become responsible for the product as you place it on your market — its labelling, its hazard communication, its container suitability and its compliance with local law.
- Use chemically suitable containers. Acid- and alkali-resistant PP containers and acid-resistant triggers are available from the range for this reason.
- Label every decanted container clearly. Pre-printed labels are available for the range.
- Never decant into food or drink containers.
Transport
Some products are classified as hazardous for transport. That determines the carriers, routes and packing available, and it is why freight is quoted per shipment rather than from a rate table. Classification and documentation for your route are confirmed with your quotation.
Your responsibilities as importer
You are responsible for confirming that a product may lawfully be imported, marketed, sold and used in your market, and for completing any registration, notification, classification, labelling, language and documentation requirements that apply there. We will supply the product information reasonably available to us to support that, but we do not warrant compliance with the law of any country outside Taiwan.
Published performance figures
Durability, coverage, dilution and speed figures on this website are typical values observed under the conditions stated, not guarantees. Many were developed under Taiwan conditions and may not transfer directly to other climates. Please do not restate them as warranties to your own customers.
